			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>With the ever-increasing price of cigarettes, and volumes of warnings that aim to increase the public&#8217;s awareness of the dangers of cigarette smoking, you&#8217;d think it would be a no-brainer for smokers to just up and quit the habit cold turkey.  However, being a former smoker myself, I know that this statement is neither realistic, nor fair.</p>
<p>Smoking is genuinely an addictive habit, not just mentally, although it certainly is psychologically addictive, but also physiologically, since nicotine is a substance that the body grows used to and craves, and when it is suddenly taken away, the withdrawal symptoms are anything but pleasant.</p>
<p>These withdrawal symptoms are the reason that many smokers never make it past a few weeks quitting the habit.  It&#8217;s also the reason that quitting smoking is so hard to do, especially the longer you&#8217;ve been doing it.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve heard it all when it comes to the creative ways that men and women both will try to kick the habit.  Some try the cold turkey thing, although this rarely works unless you have an iron will and are able to naturally cope with the symptoms of withdrawal on your own.  Some people try cigarette alternatives, like herbal cigarettes, which are designed to help get rid of the nicotine addiction since they do not contain nicotine.</p>

In addition, a womans self-esteem and <a href="http://www.hypnotherapyweightloss.org/SteveGJonesConfidence.php">self-confidence</a> can also suffer. As a result, here is a list of techniques that a woman can use to help manage her fears and anxieties without lowering her <a href="http://www.hypnotherapyweightloss.org/SteveGJonesConfidence.php">self-confidence</a>.</p>
<p>Remember that practice makes perfect. Whenever it comes to dealing with your anxieties or any other task, remember that practice, patience, and persistence is the name of the game. If you do not get the desired results the first time around, then keep trying until you do get the results. Through practice, you will become better at the task at hand and your <a href="http://www.hypnotherapyweightloss.org/SteveGJonesConfidence.php">self-confidence</a> will increase. This also applies to managing your anxieties.</p>
<p>Write down a list of things you are thankful for in this world. For instance:  good health, a good marriage, lots of friends, being smart and resourceful, and a good education are things that any person can be thankful for. Whenever you get discouraged, take out your list and focus on the things that make you happy. This technique will make you feel better and give you more encouragement.</p>
<p>Sometimes, you may be nervous doing a certain task in the near future.  When this happens, visualize yourself doing the task in your mind. For instance, you have a big presentation to give at your place of employment.  Before giving this presentation, imagine that you are giving that presentation in front of your boss. By using your imagination, you will be better prepared to perform for real when the time comes. Self-Visualization is a great way to reduce the fear and stress of a coming situation. </p>
<p>In every anxiety-related situation you experience, begin to learn what works, what does not work, and what you need to improve on in managing your fears and anxieties. For instance, you have a lot of anxiety and you decide to take a walk to help you feel better. The next time you feel anxious you can remind yourself that you got through it the last time by taking a walk. This will give you the confidence to manage your anxiety the next time around.</p>
<p>In addition, learn to take it one day at a time. Instead of worrying about how you will get through the rest of the week, try to focus on today. Each day can provide us with different opportunities to learn new things and that includes learning how to deal with your problems. You never know when the answers you are looking for will come to your doorstep. We may be ninety-nine percent correct in predicting the future, but all it takes is for that one percent to make a world of difference.</p>
<p>It can be difficult to manage our anxieties and self-esteem. If you have trouble then talk to a professional who can help you manage your fears and other stresses. They will be able to provide you with additional advice and insights on how to deal with your current problem.
